| The FW 33 is ideally suited for the application of dry Protect-ItŪ to grain as it is conveyed. The feeder consists of a hopper and a horizontal screw auger, which is run off a ž horsepower (115-volt) variable speed motor. Except for the removable inner hopper, the feeder is made of stainless steel. The hopper is constructed from flexible polyethylene, which prevents material 'bridging' by constantly changing shape as the feeder operates.
All components of the FW 33 are explosion proof and are rated for use in a grain elevator or other environment where there can be exposure to explosive dusts.
Auger sizes are interchangeable. The S28/22 screw can accommodate wheat transfer rates of 328 to 6140 bushels per hour at a 0.4 lbs./ton Protect-ItŪ application rate. The largest screw for the FW ž horsepower series feeder can accommodate 15,550 bushels per hour.
The FW 33 standard hopper with extension will hold about 25 lbs. of Protect-ItŪ, which is enough to treat 2062 bushels for each hopper fill.
Except for the projecting 4-inch discharge tube, the feeder is a box 14 inches on each side. The extension hopper adds another 22 inches to the height of the feeder. The feeder weighs 77 lbs. with an additional 26 lbs. for the extension hopper.

For best effect, Protect-ItŪ should be applied as close as possible to where the grain is finally stored, preferably at the top of the bin as the bin is being filled. If Protect-ItŪ must be applied further ahead of the storage silo or bin, care should be taken to apply it directly in the grain so as to prevent the significant loss of product through the air cleaning system (aspirator).
