The Rusty Grain Beetle is found in more than 90% of
infestations in Canadian wheat, barley, oats and all other grains and seeds. Mix Protect-It® with your wheat, barley, oats and other grains listed on the label seeds to prevent
infestation before it occurs. Protect-It® can also be used with fumigants such
as phosphine and methyl bromide.

Mix Protect-It® into the wheat, barley, oats and other listed grains and seeds as it enters the auger or conveyor feed system
during transfer of the grain into storage.
How much do I add?
Protect-It works best when it is well mixed with the grain. Mix 100 grams (approx. 2
scoops*) as evenly as possible into 1 tonne of wheat. If Protect-It® is added at a
rate of more than 100 grams per tonne, simply dilute with untreated grain or seed.
*a measuring scoop (approx. 50 grams)
is provided with each box of Protect-It.

How
it Works
Protect-It® absorbs the outer waxy layer on the insect's cuticle. As
this protective layer is absorbed, the insects dehydrate and die. Protect-It starts
working immediately after application and lasts until the grain is processed or unless grain moisture exceeds 14.5%.
Always read the product label before use. Wear a dust mask and suitable
eye-protection when using Protect-It®, or whenever airborne dust is present.
